"Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven!"
Matthew 5:16

We believe that murder is a serious sin, and we define abortion as murder, the taking of a human life for reasons other than self-defense.
"Thou shalt not kill."
Deuteronomy 5:17

We believe that baptism through total submersion is one of the most sacred responsibilities of a Christian, and while we do not believe that an individual's salvation depends upon it, we would strongly encourage all adult Christians to participate in the blessing of Holy baptism.
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"
Matthew 28:19

We believe that the concept of "church", does not necessarily refer strictly to a building or physical structure. We believe that the concept of "church" relates to anywhere that a group of Christians gather, for the purpose of worshiping God.
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
Matthew 18:20

We believe that there is one God, and one Holy text, that text being the Bible. Any other divisions within Christianity we believe are man made, and unnecessary.
"So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another."
Romans 12:5

We believe that scripture is clear concerning the sanctity of marriage, and we accept its prohibitions against divorce for all but the most extreme cases of adultery, abuse, and abandonment of the sanctity of the vows.
"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."
Genesis 2:24

We are fundamentally an evangelical ministry, but think that evangelism should be performed with the respect, dignity, and compassionate attitude that was modeled by Jesus the Christ.
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
Matthew 24:14

We believe that the family, both biological and spiritual, is the backbone of our society, our way of life, and Christianity in general. Idealistically we believe that the family structure works best with one father, one mother, and children.
"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
Joshua 24:15

We believe that any sexual intercourse performed outside of the sanctity of marriage, is a sin, and therefore should be avoided.
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,"
Galatians 5:19

We believe that the act of homosexuality is a sin, but as with any other sin, should be separated from the individual person. We love the individual, but hate their sinful acts.
"And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet."
Romans 1:27

Jesus the Christ
We believe that Jesus was the Christ that was spoken of in the Old Testament of the Bible, and again in the New Testament of scripture. We believe that He is the Son of God, and was fully God and fully man. We believe that He was born through a virgin birth, lived and conducted a ministry on Earth for approximately 33 years, was crucified, and was then resurrected after 3 days. We believe that only through the acceptance of His gift of salvation, can any human be reconciled with God.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6

We believe that marriage is one of the most sacred covedents established by God, and can only be entered into by one man and one woman.
"And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh."
Mark 10:8

We believe that the primary difference between the foundational approach to scripture and a legalistic approach is the emphasis upon mercy. Mercy is the direct application of scripture within our day-to-day life, but applying it in a way that is encouraging, supportive, and compassionate.
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."
Matthew 23:23

Political Activism
We believe that political activism is the responsibility of each individual Christian, but general political party bias is inappropriately expressed from the pulpit.
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Ephesians 6:12

We believe that only through the act of sincere repentance, can an individual receive God's forgiveness for their sins.
"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
Luke 13:3

Spiritual Gifts
We recognize spiritual gifts as existing within the historical, as well as current church. We believe that their purpose however, is for the glorification of God, and not as a sign or demonstration of man's degree of spiritual maturity.
"Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church."
1 Corinthians 14:12

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the direct word of God, and should form the foundation of a Christian's spiritual and practical life.
"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him."
John 14:23

The Trinity
We believe that there is only one God, comprised of 3 individual but equal manifestations being The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
John 1:1
